I have started a new practice of holding myself accountable, and I believe this is going to be a game changer for me.
I've been bandaging my lack of results with excuses for so long that I haven't been fully aware of the extent of the damage those excuses have caused, until now.
As I pursue my dream of competing in my very first body building competition in 2026, I must develop an thorough understanding that excuses end where accountability begins.
With over 150LBS to lose, my weight loss journey will require a level of accountability I have never applied before.
Accountability and weight loss go hand in hand because it's not about what you do when others are looking; it's about making high quality decisions when no one is around.
Being accountable will force me to face the woman in the mirror and tell her she is the only one who has led her to this point, so it is up to her to get out of it.
All of this is a HUGE part of doing the undeniable work.
Not only that, but this blog also happens to be apart of that process. It helps me to keep my eye on the prize while slowly, but surely building a supportive community, who too, can hold me accountable.
Being intentional about taking accountability helps me to see my lack of self-awareness and I can see more clearly than ever that I have been basing my actions on what's done on the stage, rather than what's done behind the curtain.
The time is now to do the REAL work to obtain REAL results! There's no other way.
